Mary Webb joined the board of directors in 2001, and has served in numerous capacities including Environmental Advocate, Vice President, President, and Treasurer. During her tenure with Greenspace, she also held positions with the North Coast Advisory Council (NCAC) as Land Use Committee Chair as well as Environmental Representative. Prior to her work with Greenspace, Mary worked as the Art Gallery Manager for 15 years at Seekers Glass Gallery, which featured hand blown glass from all over the United States. Before her work in art gallery management, Mary worked in office management and administration, as well as computer database management.
Greenspace’s acquisition of the Creekside Reserve and the complete restoration of the Chinese Temple stand out as an inspirational project exemplifying Greenspace’s commitment to preserving and restoring North Coast cultural and ecological treasures. Mary continues to be inspired by the dedication and support of the community, board and staff and impact and scope Greenspace accomplishes.
Mary, and her husband Jim, have lived in Cambria since 1989 and they continue to enjoy the small-town charm surrounded by the rugged and beautiful nature the Central Coast offers. Mary spends her free time enjoying the many wonders of Cambria from the forest to the beach, and it never ceases to amaze when she observes the Monterey pine branches collecting marine fog and watching the drops fall to the earth under the trees.
