Jordan Lampert joined the Greenspace Board of Directors in 2025. He is a chemist by profession and training, with advanced degrees. His career has always had an environmental focus, and in conducting and directing research in automotive pollution abatement, including catalytic converters, and most recently, lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles. Jordan retired in 2023.
In his role with Greenspace, Jordan looks forward to making contributions to land acquisition logistics, field work, organization of finances and would like to contribute to further expanding our green spaces in Cambria and North Coast SLO. Conserving our ecosystems today and educating the public about their importance will help preserve them for future generations is an effort that is important to Jordan.
Jordan and his wife Margaret (Margo) Biggs, moved to Cambria in 2023. Jordan enjoys living so close to wildlife habitat. They have a mountain lion that visits them about once every 6 months. Margo has a series of live photos from the lions first noted visit, and their wildlife camera has captured subsequent visits. Their cameras have also captured footage of Jordan’s favorite local wildlife- bobcats.
In his free time, Jordan enjoys spending time in Strawberry Canyon and observing the positive impact of the recent Habitat Restoration Project.
