California Native Plant Garden at Creekside Reserve

Located in downtown Cambria, the Greenspace California Native Plant Garden features plant ID tags, benches, an arbor and is open from dawn to dusk and dog friendly. Stop by today!

Community Makes This Possible

Greenspace members, volunteers, donors, sponsors, board members, business donations and grants helped to create this beautiful space. The volunteer time and expertise of horticulturists, ecologists, and specialists were invaluable in planning and designing this garden.

Why California Natives?

Native plants and wildlife have co-evolved over millennia and rely on each other for survival. The various types of growth habits of plants such as tree, grass, perennial- all support wildlife and ecosystem health in their own way.  As a whole, California native plants maintain year round ground cover and supports wildlife by providing habitat, food, shelter and nesting material for pollinators & insects, birds, and mammals and reptiles.  Native plants enable water conservation and preserve the extraordinary biodiversity of California.
